Stage Acess

A seasoned performer looking to brush up on skills? Never set foot on a stage before? Looking to meet new friends in a creative and accessible environment?

Whatever your experience or goals our Stage Access workshops are a great way to get involved in local theatre and have fun through performance.

Throughout these workshops, participants explore physical movement, areas of the stage, voice, improvisation, character exploration, working from a script, and what goes into being part of a production.

Workshop Time Commitment

Stage Access is a 6-8 week program taking place three times a year (Spring, Fall and Winter). Participants meet weekly for a two-hour workshop. The series concludes with a public performance by participants.

Participant Criteria

Workshop participation is for those aged 16+.

While anyone is welcome, we focus on providing experience to people who self-identify as living with a disability, seen or unseen. Workshops are tailored to meet the diverse accessibility needs of each individual – an approach unique to Power Productions.

Workshop Instructors

Workshops are led by Power Productions’ Artistic Director, Paul David Power, who self-identifies as a theatre artist living with a disability along with a series of guest professional artists from our local arts community.

Our next series of Stage Access will begin in September 2024.
